Class Guide

Every class offers the opportunity to learn something new, different and exciting. Not only do we learn from the instructor, but also from those who attend the class, allowing us to learn, share and create new friendships as well. However, not all classes are created equal; some require more skill or experience than others. We have created a guide to help our customers understand and navigate through the class listings.

Beginner: Simple, easy projects that are ideal for a new quilter or sewer, or for a quick-to-make gift.

Intermediate: Projects for quilters and sewers who know their way around a sewing machine, but are eager to learn more.

Advanced: These are projects that will challenge a quilter’s or sewer’s ability and knowledge, while still stimulating and satisfying those creative juices.

Class Policies

Class fee must be paid at the time you sign-up for a class.
Arrive 15 minutes early (minimum) to set-up for class and be ready to start on time. This is especially important for evening classes, allowing everyone to leave at a reasonable time.
Have your fabric, stabilizer, batting, and other items cut in advance, which helps you and others to get the most out of each class.
Class size is limited to 15 people on a first come, first serve basis. Please register for classes when the schedule is posted, allowing for the best opportunity to attend the classes you want.
If you have registered for a class over the phone or via email, then please make sure your name has been added to the class list before you arrive for class.
Classes require a minimum number of attendees and therefore are subject to cancellation if that number is not met.
In the event of extreme or severe weather conditions in the area, please call the store (757) 488-9449, making sure the store is open and operating. Classes that have been postponed due to weather conditions may be rescheduled at a later date, please call us for this and other class information.
Attendee cancellations must be made 48-hours in advance. Attendee cancellating after this time are responsible for the class fee.
